We have some spectacular towns, cities and countryside to explore in the Pays de la Loire. We are also easy to reach from the ferry ports.
Caen is 1h 30 by car
La Harve is 2h 45
Cherbourg is 2h 30
Villaines La Juhel is our local market town(Monday) and can be reached in 10 min's.It has everything you need including a supermarket,swimming pool,shops and lots of restaurants and bars.
Sille la Guillame (coco plage)is 45min's from the cottage and has something for everyone there is a sandy beach with safe swimming lots of water sports including canoeing.There are some restaurants, but if you prefer a picnic you will find lots of picnic benches provided in the wooded area.The children will have great fun with pony treks and a train ride.
Bagnoles de l'orne is 30min's from the cottage.It is a spa town and has several hotels offering spa treatments for non residents.There is a casino and some superb restaurants.
St. Leonard du Bois and the villages of the Alpes Mancelles are only about 20min's away and some of the most stunning forest and countryside with lots of walks and nature trails.If you want to be more active and are experienced then you can go canoeing down the rapids or try the Tree top Trail ending in a monkey slide to the ground.
Lassay les Chateaux is 20min's from the cottage and is very popular with our guests.You can take a trip round the chateau and the rose garden in early summer is beautiful.The church should also be on you list of things to see in this pretty town.
Alencon is 30min's from the cottage and has a Saturday market in the shadow of the gothic church and has some great shops.
Mayenne is 20min's from the cottage.A lovely river side town with must see chateau.Also an ideal shopping town.
Jubilans is 20min's from the cottage. This is a historical roman town with a roman excavation you can see.
Le Mans is a little further at 1h 15 but well worth the trip with lots to visit including the ancient church, the Le Mans 24 race track and lots of shops.
